Primus Physio is an AXA Health recognised provider. To use your AXA cover for physiotherapy:

  1. Contact AXA Health to register your claim and obtain a pre-authorisation code
  2. Book your appointment at Primus Physio
  3. Provide your authorisation code at your first session
  4. We handle all clinical coding and reporting directly with AXA

Bupa

Primus Physio is recognised by Bupa. To use your Bupa cover for physiotherapy:

  1. Contact Bupa to get a pre-authorisation number for physiotherapy
  2. Check whether your policy requires a GP referral
  3. Book your appointment and provide your Bupa authorisation number
  4. We submit all clinical information directly to Bupa

WPA

Primus Physio is recognised by WPA (Western Provident Association). To use your WPA cover:

  1. Call WPA or log in to your WPA account to make a claim
  2. Obtain your authorisation details
  3. Book your appointment and provide your WPA claim reference
  4. We handle all reporting and coding requirements

Aviva

Primus Physio is recognised by Aviva Health. To use your Aviva cover for physiotherapy:

  1. Contact Aviva to pre-authorise your physiotherapy claim
  2. Receive your authorisation reference
  3. Book your appointment at Primus Physio
  4. We manage all clinical documentation for Aviva directly

Vitality Health

Primus Physio is recognised by Vitality Health. To use your Vitality cover:

  1. Log in to your Vitality account or call Vitality to pre-authorise treatment
  2. Obtain your claim authorisation number
  3. Book your appointment and provide your authorisation details
  4. We handle all clinical coding and submissions on your behalf

Using Your Insurance — Step by Step

The process is straightforward. Most patients are seen within the same week of contacting their insurer.

Contact your insurer

Call your insurance provider or log in to your account to register a physiotherapy claim and obtain an authorisation code or reference number.

Book your appointment

Book online at primusphysio.co.uk or call 07867 782786. Same-week appointments available including evenings and weekends.

Attend your session

Bring your authorisation number to your first session. Your first appointment includes a full assessment, diagnosis and hands-on treatment.

We handle the rest

We manage all clinical coding, reporting and communication with your insurer. You focus on your recovery.

Insurance FAQs

Do I need a GP referral to use my insurance for physiotherapy? +
This depends on your policy. Some insurers including AXA Health and Vitality allow direct access to physiotherapy without a GP referral. Others may require a referral. Check your policy documents or call your insurer to confirm before booking.
How many sessions will my insurance cover? +
This varies by policy. Most standard policies cover 6–10 sessions per condition per year. Check your policy for specific limits. We will advise you of the likely number of sessions needed at your first appointment.
Will I have to pay anything? +
If your policy has an excess, you will pay this directly. Beyond any excess, your insurer covers the cost of sessions up to your policy limit. We will advise you of our session rates so you can confirm coverage with your insurer before attending.
My insurer isn't on your list — can I still use my insurance? +
Contact us to discuss. We may still be able to accept your insurance or provide receipts for you to claim reimbursement directly from your insurer. Call 07867 782786 or email info@primusphysio.co.uk.
What conditions can I use my insurance for? +
Most musculoskeletal conditions are covered — back pain, neck pain, shoulder injuries, knee pain, sports injuries and more. Check your policy for any exclusions. Pre-existing conditions may not be covered depending on your policy terms.
